Healing Stories

Martine Lersch was already a trained counsellor when she moved from Paris to Melbourne 30 years ago. A few years ago – after giving many courses and w
orkshops about her technique for counselling young children, Martine decided to write a book for parents and teachers which she calls

Creating and Telling Stories for Healing

This book teaches, in simple terms, how to create a “narrative” which aim is to modify unwanted behaviour in young children.

This is a counselling technique which does not bring any feeling of guilt in the young children it helps, whilst offering them different solutions/ways to deal with their behaviour problems.

Martine’s book contains easy to follow, step by step, explanations as to what to put in your story, how to present it, why to present it in this way, when and how often to tell the story. The book also gives a series of examples which you are welcome to use as a springboard for your own creation,

It is a very pleasurable technique, both for the parent and for the child; and it WORKS.
